Industrial Rigger – Heavy Equipment Install & Removal

Position Overview

Location: Elida, OH (most work within commuting distance; occasional overnight stays)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed

Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour (higher for exceptional experience or certifications) Overtime opportunities available

Summary:
Experienced industrial rigger needed for heavy equipment installation and removal at manufacturing plants, warehouses, and construction sites. Work includes rigging, hoisting, and moving machinery, conveyors, platforms, and structural steel using cranes, hoists, chain falls, and other rigging gear. Full-time, year-round position with competitive pay, overtime opportunities, and full benefits. Most work is within commuting distance of Elida, OH; occasional overnight stays possible. Responsibilities:
• Rig, secure, lift, and position machinery, conveyors, platforms, and structural steel.
• Install and remove heavy equipment at various customer locations.
• Operate hoists, cranes, chain falls, spreader bars, and other rigging equipment safely.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings.
• Calculate load weights, sling angles, and lifting points.
• Follow OSHA, MSHA, and company safety procedures.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of rigging experience in industrial or heavy construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, load charts, and equipment capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10/30, MSHA, or NCCCO Rigging Certification preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
• Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and walking on uneven surfaces.

• Monday to Friday
• Overtime as needed
