Equipment Operator


Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Equipment Operator with CDL to join our team. This role involves transporting construction equipment to job sites, safely loading and unloading machinery, operating equipment as needed, and performing millwright work once the equipment is in place. The ideal candidate will have experience maneuvering large vehicles in tight spaces and off-pavement conditions, along with the ability to handle precision assembly, installation, and maintenance of industrial equipment..

Key Responsibilities

Transportation & Equipment Handling

• Safely operate and drive a semi-truck with a lowboy or flatbed trailer to transport construction equipment to job sites.
• Load and unload heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and other machinery using proper securement techniques.
• Navigate and maneuver in tight spaces, job sites, and off-pavement conditions, ensuring safety at all times.

Equipment Operation

• Operate construction machinery for site preparation, installation, or relocation as required.
• Assist in setting up and positioning equipment for millwright work.
Millwright & Installation Work (Added bonus not required)
• Perform assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Align, level, and secure equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Work with a team to complete mechanical installations and ensure proper functionality of equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Experience transporting and securing heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in operating construction machinery.
• Knowledge of millwright work, including mechanical installation, rigging, and precision alignment.
• Ability to work in tight and off-road conditions safely.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks in various working conditions.
• Willingness to travel as needed for job assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in industrial or construction environments.
• Welding or fabrication skills are a plus.
• OSHA or safety certifications.

Equipment Mechanic


Position Overview

Quality Welding & Fabrication is seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of construction and industrial equipment. This role requires expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
• Perform minor welding and fabrication as needed for repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts inventory.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment, diesel, or mechanical repair.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively.
• CDL or relevant certifications are a plus.

Field Millwright / Rigger – On-Site Platform Installation

Quality Welding and Fabrication is expanding, and we’re looking for experienced Millwrights and Riggers to join our team! If you take pride in precision work, problem-solving, and working in industrial and construction settings, this is the opportunity for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:
✔️ Install and assemble platforms, conveyors, machinery, and structural components.
✔️ Rig and move heavy equipment using hoists, cranes, chain falls, and come-alongs.
✔️ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
✔️ Align, level, and secure equipment to exact specifications.
✔️ Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and company safety standards.
✔️ Work independently or as part of a team in industrial, construction, and manufacturing environments.

What We’re Looking For:

🔹 8+ years of experience as a Millwright, Rigger, or in industrial equipment installation.
🔹 Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, load calculations, and safety protocols.
🔹 Ability to read and execute blueprints and technical drawings.
🔹 Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding/fabrication is a plus.
🔹 Comfortable working at heights and in field environments.
🔹 Certifications preferred: MSHA, OSHA 10/30, NCCCO, or equivalent.
🔹 Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Elite Structural Welder

As we expand into government projects, we are looking for Elite Structural Welders to join our high-performance team and grow with us. This role demands precision, expertise, and a relentless commitment to excellence. If you specialize in GMAW Spray welding and have experience with GMAW Short Arc and GTAW (TIG) for stainless steel and aluminum, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities:
• Perform MIG and FCAW welding on structural steel components
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Fit, tack, and weld steel parts with precision and accuracy
• Ensure all welds meet AISC certification standards
• Operate hand tools, grinders, torches, and other fabrication equipment
• Conduct quality checks to ensure structural integrity and proper weld penetration
• Maintain a safety-first and team-driven work environment
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines without compromising quality

What It Takes to Be Elite:
✔️ Minimum 2 years of structural welding experience
✔️ Proficiency in MIG and Flux Core (FCAW) welding
✔️ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
✔️ Experience with steel fabrication, layout, and fitting
✔️ Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
